Our Swim with the Sea Lions experiences begin in May and end at the end of September, this is to allow for suitable weather - the Sea Lion pool can get pretty cold outside of the summer months!

The experience starts with watching the main Sea Lion Display at 12:30pm and then at 1:00pm you will be invited into the Sea Lion enclosure for preparation. We recommend that swimmers are 10 years or over, but this is not a strict rule provided that they are a strong swimmer. Please call for more information in this.

The Swimming Session consists of the following :

• A fifteen minute Health and Safety (see disclaimer)
• 20 minutes for changing (shower area provided, wet suits and towels supplied )
• 20 minutes in the water with Morgan the Sea Lion.
• 20 minutes for Shower and Change
• Your very own photo disc with 20 great photos taken by our park photographer to take away with you.
• Free photograph in cover.

There is a maximum of five swimmers per day - the Sea Lion swimmers all go in as a group after the 12:30pm Show. This is to prevent undue stress on the Sea Lion and their Trainers! As stated previously, if you do not have a wet suit one can be provided for you at no extra cost. Towels are also provided for you on request. Please ensure that you notify us when you make your booking if you need wet suits and / or towels.

The Sea Lion Experience costs just £99.50. Please call in advance to pre book your swim by calling us on 01271 882486. Full payment is required at the time of booking. Date changes will be accommodated where possible but 100% cancellation charges apply.

If you prefer not to get wet or are too young to swim with our Sea Lions, why not book a place on our Sea Lion Meet and Greet experience. You'll spend half an hour behind the scenes helping to train and generally getting to know our Sea Lions personally. ONLY £25 per person.

Please note that the final decision for the experience to go ahead will be made on the day, due to the unpredictability of animal behaviour and their welfare and the weather conditions.
